Edmundson Electrical Hull supports Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas by raising over £2,500 in cash donations and gifts, for children at Christmas time.
Their work has helped to support the largest Christmas toy appeal in the UK, Mission Christmas, which is an annual campaign run by Cash for Kids and is supported by Viking FM.
Amy Trains, at Edmundson Electrical Hull, heard the appeal on the local radio station and applied for the branch to take part in the amazing opportunity. With only three days to decorate, they were selected!
With limited time to prepare, the team got very creative and decorated the trade counter with Christmas trees, lights, inflatable snowmen, and lots of tinsel, ready for the big switch-on.
Incredibly, with the help of their customers, they raised over £2,500 in cash donations and gifts, providing for children of all ages.
The event took place on Thursday 30th November with Viking FM's breakfast show presenters Alex and Nicola turning on the Christmas Lights, they were accompanied by the event organiser and a photographer who captured the event.
The event started with the company introducing themselves on the radio. Manager, Tom France, took the lead in introducing the next festive song live on air. Following this, all attendees were involved in the countdown for the big light switch-on.
With over 100 meters of lights on the trade counter, it was a bright and warm way to start the festive season. Following this, the staff at Edmundson Electrical Hull, worked together with Viking FM to create a van packing assembly line, filling the van with the precious cargo, ready to gift to children this Christmas.
Thank you, and well done, to Tom France and his team for making Christmas special for those who need a little extra help this year.
