A huge congratulations to the England Masters Fishing Team for achieving Bronze in the 2024 World Angling Championships held in Bulgaria, this past June.
Four days of practice, hard work, and preparation lead to the two-day competition. The teams put all their effort into coming up with the best tactics, familiarising themselves with the local fish species, and overcoming challenging conditions such as the 38-degree heat!
Staying true to themselves and sticking to the plan, Darren Bickerton, Matt Hall, Billy Reynolds, and Ben Bray showed how meticulously planning and years of expertise pays off. The team placed with a Bronze Trophy out of nineteen teams! This was also done with the help of their support team, Mark Harper, Mick Dent, Shaun Shockley, and Ian Young who are all over the moon with the outcome.
We are delighted to be a part of this, and happy that our donations helped towards getting the team to Bulgaria so they could show what the UK has to offer!
